In the city of Tashkent, the results of the drawing competition “RARE SPECIES OF BIRDS IN THE NATURE OF UZBEKISTAN” were summed up, where students of specialized art schools, circles, art studios participated.
A total of 301 drawings were submitted for the competition. It was held by the State Museum of Nature of Uzbekistan and the State Committee for Forestry with the support of our programme.
The main goal is to popularize the diversity of nature and bird species living in the urban environment of Uzbekistan among children and youth.
About 379 species of birds live in Uzbekistan, and about 200 species of birds can be found in Tashkent per year. One of the most bird-like places in the capital is the Botanical Garden. In winter, it is a haven for many wintering species in the city. Birds inhabit parks, forest plantations from the surface of the earth to the tops of trees, and their importance in this biological system is very high.
