40 representatives of various state enterprises and the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan were trained to use an innovative tool for the forestry sector – Business Processes Modelling and Notation Standard (BPMN). The trainings were held in Tajikistan on November 20-22, 2019 in Penjikent and on November 27-29, 2019 in Khorog.
During the training sessions, participants were introduced to 13 standardized work processes. Participants were engaged in modeling of working processes during the practical classes. This helped them to understand the approaches to solve problems and get acquainted with the BPMN technology road maps. By the end of the training, participants were able to create diagrams of formalized work processes that can be easily understood, analyzed, and reproduced.
Davlatali Sharipov, Head of the management department of the Forestry Agency under the government of the Republic of Tajikistan, stated that knowledge of the BPMN tool is important for the forest sector because it helps to adapt work processes to the new management system, and also support to effectively organize labor resources in the forest sector. It is important to note that the knowledge gained will be widely used in the piloting of the BPMN implementation in Penjikent and in the forest enterprise of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast.
